Relaxing Kawaii shows to binge-watch on Netflix!

After working tirelessly every single day of the week, when the weekend finally arrives, all I want to do is “Netflix and chill”. I want to put away all my worries and the stressful situations in life, and watch something that calms me down, relaxes my nerves and entertains me as well. Since I am so obsessed with the idea of “cute”, I feel more tranquil while watching Kawaii cartoons, which are funny and also adorable.

Everyone has to go through a lot of stress through the week. And weekends are the time, when people rejuvenate themselves and prepare to do it all over again when Monday arrives. If you are a couch potato like me, and would rather spend your weekends indoors, then I would a hundred percent recommend you watching these shows, and I guarantee that it will lift your mood at once.

1. Rilakkuma and Kaoru: Rilakkuma illustrated books have been published since the year 2004, where Rilakkuma, the very lazy and adorable bear, is shown to be staying with his friends in an apartment owned by Kaoru, a 25-year-old employee, whose appearance is never hose appearance is never revealed. After 15 years, Kaoru has a face, a voice and the main “human” protagonist of the Netflix series “Rilakkuma and Kaoru”.

The episodes are slow-paced and illustrate the struggles of Kaoru with her job, her career decisions and her love life. Despite the worries in her life, every day after a long day of work, she is delighted to come back home to Rilakkuma and his friends Korilakkuma and Kiroitoli.

Rilakkuma hasn’t changed a tad. He is still the lazy bear, who sleeps all day long with his friends in Kaoru’s apartment and still burns the pancakes whenever he attempts to make them. All of Rilakkumas’ flaws vanish when you see how much he cares for Kaoru and act funny to make her laugh. The show is very entertaining and heart-warming.

2. Bananya: This series revolves around the discovery of a new species of tiny cats living inside of bananas. Bananya, is a white cat living in a banana, and is the main character of the series. He appears as a cute white cat, with his upper body protruding from a banana peel-like lower half. His life-long dream is to bathe in chocolate with his other banana cat-friends.

The storyline revolves around Bananya and his friends, who live very optimistic and carefree lives. They behave like any other normal cat would. They are curious and playful and even hunt for small animals like mice. They are extraordinarily adorable and very calming.

3. We Bare Bears: This is probably my most favourite of the all, and you Must watch this. A story about three bears, a grizzly bear known as “Grizz”, a panda and a polar bear named “Ice Bear”. Although unknown, as to how the three met, they are shown to be together since their early childhood, looking for a home. Always rejected, they find themselves living in a cave in a forest as adults, strapped of cash.

They want to be accepted by the society and have friends who admire them; though a serious issue, the situations are shown rather in a humorous way. The episodes are full of laughter and joy, and be it any age, you will love watching the three bears.

Grizz, being a forest bear, knows his ways around the forest and acts as a guardian of the group. Panda is more acquainted with technology and loves to teach his brothers all about it. Ice bear, is the most strongest and mature among the all, and he does the chores in the cave; has a passion for cooking and makes sure that his brothers are well-fed at all times.
