My last blog post was lot more for the people who like to watch relaxed and calming content. I am aware of the fact, that a part of my audience would find their solace in watching adventurous shows with distinctive characteristics varying from live-action, to crime and suspense.

Kawaii anime is a genre that is becoming popular among the millennials day-by-day. With Netflix creating a whole new library for Anime genre; I have picked the 5 best ones for you, in case you have difficulty in making decisions. So let’s begin with the best Kawaii anime series on Netflix.
1. Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet- The story is about the drowned earth and the information and culture that gets washed away with it, with our descendants being the ultimate refugees of climate change.
Ledo, is a young soldier, who while fighting with alien creatures gets wormholed away to earth, a planet he believed to be an old myth. Now on earth, he struggles to fight the language barriers while co-existing with his fellow humans. Gargantia has action, environment subtexts and several canny plot twists.

2. Children of the Whales- Similar to Gargantia, children of the whales is plotted during a post apocalyptic era, racked with ecological disaster, on a desert. A pocket of survivors, with the majority of them having developed psychokinetic abilities are now living in a giant floating city called the Mud Whale. The series explores what happens when the Mud Whale encounters another island that has contrasting beliefs and the events that follow. It has stylized animation and watercolour like background, puts the show in a class of its own.

3. Aggretsuko- Aggretsuko’s world surprisingly is very much like ours. A crappy and stressful day job, even crappier co-workers and Instagram that eats people’s souls. What makes this show special is the millennial heroine- Retsuko and her werewolf-like transformations when she finally cuts loose. Her only outlet is “heavy metal”. The show touches upon the challenges faced by urbanite young people, whether be it their career, friendships, dating and social life. Its dramatic soundtrack, wry comedy and simplified style makes it compulsively bingeable.
4. Pokemon- There is absolutely no age-limit for binging on this long-running anime series. It teaches a very important life-long lesson to all, and over the years I personally have come to believe this even more—“You will often lose, when it counts the most.” Ash Ketchum, dreams of being the very best, but hasn’t been able to win the Pokemon championship league. The story touches upon how Ash never quits and keeps on working towards being the very best. This classic will remain an all-time favourite for a long while.
5. Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion- If you have been an ardent fan of Game of Thrones and have come across the character of Littlefinger; then you will very well get Lelouch vi Britannia: an intoxicatingly skilled political manipulator, who also holds the power of mind-control. Lelouch is on a mission of vengeance against his family, who rule the world. Code Geass has sci-fi combat, comedy, bureaucratic backstabbing and a future where caste-system keeps the populace underfoot.
