Kawaii, most often, is used to embody positivity; and Kawaii art to be specific, is known to be not only aesthetically pleasing to eyes, but also something that invokes calmness and reduces anxiety. Having to deal with major anxiety issues, I tend to find out ways, which can prove useful in order to calm myself.

I don’t even mind wasting 2-3 hours in a day, scrolling through the work of these amazing illustrators. It is extraordinarily calming. After quite a bit of research, I have come up with the most popular Kawaii illustrators on Instagram. So here’s a list of 6 Kawaii illustrators, based on their popularity on the platform of Instagram.
1. Qing Han (Username: @qinniart) - This page has more than 2.5 million followers. Qing Han was known for her art. She used Kawaii art to tell stories about her fight with cancer. Unfortunately, Qing Han lost her fight with cancer in the month of February. Her loyal fans do not want her to be forgotten. They want people to know how Qing used art as a medium to connect with the people going through something same. Do check out her page, to honour her for her beautiful work.

2. Olga Ortiz (Username: @olguioo) - She is an illustrator from Spain, with over 142 thousand followers on Instagram. She has her own Kawaii merchandise which is quite popular. She creates very calming and soothing illustrations for her audience and often uses the unicorn colour palette to create them. She is very open on her captions about creating illustrations that provide her viewers with calmness.

3. XMIO (Username: @xmioart) – With over 57 thousand followers on Instagram, a self-taught artist from Germany, who strictly uses the colour palette of pink and blue. The artist creates a lot of Pokemon illustrations and is known for their aesthetic style. Her other creations her Kawaii-city, Kawaii-planets, Kawaii dolphins, whales and koi fishes, and Kawaii pixel arts.

Cieorio (Username: @cieorio) – The artist has more than 7 thousand followers on Instagram and is known to create illustrations that symbolizes the Japanese culture—the Kawaii cultural trend to be specific. Their art includes; illustrations of Totoro, koi fishes, Pokemon, cute rabbits and teddy bears.

5. Janie (Username: @berrycutestudio) – This artist mostly combines her illustrations of food with the symbolism's of Japanese culture. Janie has more than 6 thousand followers on Instagram and she loves creating illustrations of her pet dog; a corgi. All of her illustrations have unique names. She is famous for her illustrations of a drink in a glass bottle, which has a whole new world inside of it.
